SmartMenopause Privacy Policy
Effective September 25, 2026 · Applies to the SmartMenopause apps for iPhone, iPad and Android
The short version: everything you enter in SmartMenopause stays on your device. We don't have accounts, servers that receive your data, analytics or ads. We can't see your information, and we never sell or share it.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter or the app creates: symptom logs, journal entries, medications and reminders, bleeding and cycle records, wellness routines, nutrition entries, your profile (name, date of birth, menopause stage), and any summaries or exports. This information is stored only in the app's private storage on your phone or tablet. We have no copy.
The apps turn off device and cloud backup of this data on Android. On iPhone and iPad, your data is included in your own encrypted device backups only if you back up your device; we never receive it.
What we collect
Nothing. The apps have no user accounts, send no data to us or to anyone else, and contain no analytics, advertising or tracking code. The Android app does not even request permission to use the internet.
Features that use your device
- Reminders are scheduled on your device by the operating system. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- App lock (optional) uses your device's Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, face or screen lock. The operating system checks it; the app never sees your biometric data.
- Exports (the Doctor Visit Summary PDF and the symptom CSV) are created on your device. They leave it only if you choose to share, email or print them, using the app you pick.
- Links to our website and to email support open in your browser or email app, under those apps' own privacy terms.
Deleting your data
Go to Settings in the app and choose Delete All My Data. This permanently erases everything the app has stored on your device. Uninstalling the app also removes its data.
Children
SmartMenopause is intended for adults and is not directed to children.
Medical information
SmartMenopause helps you track and understand your own symptoms. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis or treatment. Because we never receive your health information, we do not hold medical records about you.
Changes to this policy
If we add features that change what leaves your device (for example, an optional account), we will update this policy and the in-app privacy information before those features ship, and the new policy will describe exactly what is collected.
